ProGene Bio merged with TRIMS

Welcome to the Institute of Bioinformatics & Research Centre, ProGene Biosciences, an academic bioinformatics training and research institute started in May 2004.

We are happy to state that ProGene Biosciences was merged with the state-of-the art wet lab based training & research institute in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) - Translational Research Institute of Molecular Sciences, famously referred as TRIMS, vizag to enhance and improvise the level of imparting skills in bioinformatics and wet lab techniques such as Isolation of DNA/RNA, PCR, RFLP, chromatid exchange, karyoptyping etc.

We anticipate that this merging would benefit most of our life science students who have been showing interest in carrying out their academic research projects both in wet lab and bioinformatics. As a part of this merging event we encourage students to pursue their project works in a relevant areas such as core bioinformatics, core wet lab experiments or bioinformatics-coupled-with-wet lab experiments.

Students who did their projects from ProGene and new comers are invited to visit our facilities at our research building located in
